This page demonstrates a variety of string bashing operations of use to cipher writers.
It contains the prototypes of most of the code systems on this website. It isn't pretty but there are some very useful codebreaking tools available here.
Paste the block of text that you want to manipulate into the "Plaintext" box. Then hit the relevant button. If you want to perform more than one operation then hit the "Move to Top" button.
If you can read JavaScript then download the source and fiddle with it!
If you are interested in communication theory then you can investigate the redundancy of a language by gradually increasing the damage done by "Word Decay".
